Oocyte Recipient

Oocyte Recipients

An oocyte recipient is an individual or couple who receives donated eggs (oocytes) to achieve pregnancy. The process involves fertilizing these donated eggs with sperm in a laboratory, and then transferring the resulting embryo(s) to the recipient's uterus. This option is often chosen by individuals or couples with diminished ovarian reserve, premature ovarian insufficiency, a history of recurrent miscarriages or failed IVF cycles, advanced maternal age and genetic disorders.

The oocyte recipient process:

  •  Register with New Beginnings
  • Once you have registered, we will contact you to discuss your criteria for your donor match. (Donors are anonymous. No identifying information nor adults photos will be shared).
  • After choosing your donor, proceed by reserving them.
  • Once your selected donor has confirmed she’s available to donate, the agency fee will be payable to reserve the donor.
  • The donor’s details will be shared with the fertility clinic of your choice and the donor will undergo medical and psychological evaluations. The fertility clinic will keep you updated with the donor’s progress.

A Journey of Hope

Becoming an oocyte recipient is often a path filled with hope and optimism. Many recipients find joy in the journey itself, knowing that each step brings them closer to their dream of parenthood
What Are the Benefits

Unlocking Parenthood: The Life-Changing Benefits

Becoming an egg donor recipient offers numerous benefits for individuals or couples struggling with infertility. It provides the opportunity to have a child, especially for those unable to conceive naturally due to age, genetic conditions, or ovarian failure. Egg donation has higher success rates compared to other fertility treatments, as donor eggs typically come from young, healthy women, increasing the chances of successful fertilization and pregnancy. Recipients can also enjoy a genetic connection if one partner’s sperm is used. Moreover, the process allows recipients to avoid passing on hereditary disorders by selecting donors without certain genetic conditions.
